The second quarter of 2022 saw varied performance trends among the top five social networking apps on the iOS platform in Lebanon. Here’s a closer look at the weekly downloads, revenue, and active user trends for each app, based on data from Sensor Tower.

WhatsApp Messenger experienced fluctuating weekly downloads, starting the quarter with around 4.3K downloads and dipping to 1.1K by mid-April. However, it rebounded, reaching approximately 4.3K downloads again by the end of June. The app maintained a consistent user base, with weekly active users ranging from 570K to 587K throughout the quarter.

Telegram Messenger saw a relatively stable download pattern with minor fluctuations. Weekly downloads ranged from 1.5K to nearly 3K. Revenue generation began in mid-June, peaking at $35 in the week of June 20. The active user count showed stability, hovering around 95K to 108K during the quarter.

Facebook exhibited a steady download rate, starting at 2.8K and ending the quarter at around 2.5K downloads per week. Revenue fluctuated, peaking at $359 in the week of June 20. Active users remained robust, with weekly figures ranging from 552K to 599K.

Messenger downloads remained consistent, with weekly downloads ranging from 1.6K to 2.3K. Active users followed a similar pattern, maintaining figures between 185K and 199K throughout the quarter.

Votly Social Polling saw significant fluctuations in downloads, starting with just 37 downloads per week and peaking at 3.5K in mid-May before dropping to 68 by the end of June.
